Preschool Program Director
Leslie is the Preschool Director at Xtreme Altitude. She loves working with families and coaching our youngest gymnasts as they develop strength and coordination in a safe, fun environment! Leslie grew up in North Carolina and moved to Colorado with her husband in 2004. They have a 10-year old daughter and enjoy spending family time skiing, golfing, and exploring Colorado!
Background: Masters of Education from the University of Georgia following her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. Leslie’s daughter was a competitive gymnast at Xtreme.
Hidden talent: Forever challenges her husband on the putting green.

Head Boys Team Coach
Nate took over the Boys Program Director role at Xtreme in 2013, and was elected in April 2015 as the Colorado State Chairman for men’s gymnastics! Energetic and animated, he can usually be heard from across the gym rallying the guys and cracking jokes. Nate has a superb ability bring fun into the daily grind of training. When he’s not at the gym, Nate enjoys playing other sports like volleyball and racquetball, and watching the Broncos with his lovely wife Ally, and their 2 dogs. Nate and Ally welcomed their first son in March 2016.
Background: Nate competed for over 14 years in both Colorado and Utah. He was part of the Colorado “All Stars” team 5 years in a row and achieved the highest level as a JO competitive gymnast. Nate has been coaching for 18 years, 14 of which he has been a head coach, and has coached in Utah, Virginia, and Colorado.
Hidden talent: He’s an artist! Nate’s art has been on display in the Bemis School of Art and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. He especially loves Pottery and 35mm photography.
Girls Team Coach
Melisa began coaching at Xtreme in 2009. Her gentle, yet firm approach to coaching suits our girls’ team well, and she has been a vital part of many gymnasts’ development in those early competitive years. Before she began coaching, Melisa received her BS in Conservation Biology and worked as a wildlife biologist. She and her husband have 3 children, and they celebrate their anniversary each year by hiking a 14er together. Melisa enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, and playing with her children.
Background: Competitive gymnast through USAG JO Level 10. Melisa received a full-ride gymnastics scholarship to San Jose State and competed as a Division I Collegiate gymnast.
Hidden Talent: Pretty handy in building and fixing things! Melisa has helped build two houses and recently finished her basement.
