Laura was hired to answer phone calls at Xtreme “a couple hours per week”…in 2003. Since then, she has been a key asset in the gym’s development and growth. She now coordinates the team programs, plans and organizes all of our meets, and is basically the glue that holds everything together. Her son competed for Xtreme for 11 years, so Laura also became the designated team mom for many other gymnasts.

Background: Her son’s love of gymnastics and dedication to the sport created a career-opportunity for Laura.

Hidden Talent: Award-winning quilter

Jessica has been with Xtreme since 2010.

Background: Former competitive gymnast and coach

Hidden Talent: Mad skills at Ms. Pac-Man (but she wishes she could beat-box)


Preschool Program Director

Leslie is the Preschool Director at Xtreme Altitude. She loves working with families and coaching our youngest gymnasts as they develop strength and coordination in a safe, fun environment! Leslie grew up in North Carolina and moved to Colorado with her husband in 2004. They have a 10-year old daughter and enjoy spending family time skiing, golfing, and exploring Colorado!

Background: Masters of Education from the University of Georgia following her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. Leslie’s daughter was a competitive gymnast at Xtreme.

Hidden talent:
Forever challenges her husband on the putting green.

Head Boys Team Coach

Nate took over the Boys Program Director role at Xtreme in 2013, and was elected in April 2015 as the Colorado State Chairman for men’s gymnastics! Energetic and animated, he can usually be heard from across the gym rallying the guys and cracking jokes. Nate has a superb ability bring fun into the daily grind of training. When he’s not at the gym, Nate enjoys playing other sports like volleyball and racquetball, and watching the Broncos with his lovely wife Ally, and their 2 dogs.  Nate and Ally welcomed their first son in March 2016.

Background: Nate competed for over 14 years in both Colorado and Utah. He was part of the Colorado “All Stars” team 5 years in a row and achieved the highest level as a JO competitive gymnast. Nate has been coaching for 18 years, 14 of which he has been a head coach, and has coached in Utah, Virginia, and Colorado.

Hidden talent: He’s an artist! Nate’s art has been on display in the Bemis School of Art and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. He especially loves Pottery and 35mm photography.

Eric has been coaching with Xtreme since 2009, and has worked with our compulsory and optional girls teams. Eric’s calm demeanor and dedication to the sport have benefited our team program immensely. Eric is constantly working to improve the girls team. He regularly offers trainings for our coaches.

In his free time, Eric enjoys playing disc golf, watching football, and relaxing with his friends.

Background: Eric was competed high school gymnast in El Paso, TX. He has been coaching for over 20 years in TX and CO. To further his coaching experience and training, Eric has coached at Kayroli camps, TOPS program camps, and other gymnastics camps around the US.

Hidden Talents: Eric regularly, and generously, donates money to his fantasy football colleagues.

Girls Team Coach

Melisa began coaching at Xtreme in 2009. Her gentle, yet firm approach to coaching suits our girls’ team well, and she has been a vital part of many gymnasts’ development in those early competitive years. Before she began coaching, Melisa received her BS in Conservation Biology and worked as a wildlife biologist. She and her husband have 3 children, and they celebrate their anniversary each year by hiking a 14er together. Melisa enjoys rock climbing, hiking, camping, and playing with her children.

Background: Competitive gymnast through USAG JO Level 10. Melisa received a full-ride gymnastics scholarship to San Jose State and competed as a Division I Collegiate gymnast.

Hidden Talent: Pretty handy in building and fixing things! Melisa has helped build two houses and recently finished her basement.


Girls Team Coach

Pierre has been coaching gymnastics for nearly 15 years. Pierre has coached both boys and girls of all ages and levels, and has developed a great understanding of skill progression and development. He strongly believes that refinement of basics in combination with focused stretching and conditioning are the foundations of a great gymnast.
He also likes to engage his athletes with humor and challenges to keep them enthused and striving for excellence!

Background: Pierre got his start as a competitive gymnast in Wisconsin in the 80s and 90s under the supervision of Coach Stacey Maloney. He was on the same team as Paul and Morgen Hamm!

Girls Team Coach

Taryn is a Colorado native and a former competitive gymnast at Xtreme. Her sweet spirit and energetic approach to coaching makes her a favorite.  She attends Fairview High School, and has two younger siblings who have also competed for Xtreme. Taryn and her family like to travel and take advantage of the beautiful mountains here in Colorado hiking, mountain biking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Taryn hopes to become a teacher and spend time working with students with disabilities after college.

Boys Team Coach

Dylan is also one of our former gymnasts, and he started working as a “coach’s assistant” with us when he was 12 years old. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and he is at home when he’s at the gym. Dylan is also a talented dancer, who danced competitively for 7 years, and was on tour with a traveling dance company for another 4 years. Some of Dylan’s success in dance comes from his extensive gymnastics training, as he could tumble on any surface. Outside of gymnastics, Dylan enjoys volleyball, hiking, and climbing.

Background: Dylan was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and has been coaching for 10 years.

Hidden Talent: “The Boy Who Lived” In September 2014 Dylan survived a 100-foot fall from a cliff, and we’re so thankful he’s here. #dylanstrong


Customer Relations & Front Desk

Tracy is always a smiling and sweet face to our clients. With an amazing ability to listen and empathize, she is a vital part of our customer service team. Tracy is married, and when she isn’t taxiing their 3 active teens around, Tracy enjoys wogging (a mix between walking and running), snuggling her pets, and taking online sewing classes.

All 3 of Tracy’s children have participated in programs at Xtreme. One of her boys has competed with the boys’ team for 6 years.

Hidden Talent: Knack for memorizing phone numbers. Also, she has one blue eye and one brown eye.
